  1. Red, White & Brew! This party kicks off on Saturday, July 1 in Harbor Springs with local micro-brews and select wines. From 4 to 7 pm, you will enjoy the best bay views of Harbor Springs and drinks while listening to live music.
  2. Visit Bay Harbor on Monday, July 3 starting at 8 pm. You can enjoy the talented Petoskey Steel Drum Band, face painting and balloon twisting. Dazzling fireworks will light up the night sky at dusk. Come early to grab a good seat!
  3. Kick-Off July 4 with a parade in the Village of Alanson at 11 am. Starting on the corner of M-68 & US-31, this parade winds through the quaint town with holiday cheer, candy and floats.

  4. Follow the cheer to Harbor Springs! Parade festivities kick-off at 1 pm on Main Street. Catch the Young Americans live performance in Shay Park (about 3 pm) after the parade, too!
  5. Not into parades? Check out the Fourth of July Art Fair in Harbor Springs instead! This is from 10 am to 5 pm in Zorn Park. See local and regional artists display their best works of art.
  6. Petoskey will celebrate the Fourth of July beginning at 6 pm with a parade circling through downtown. After, head down to the waterfront to cool off and take in that Million Dollar Sunset!
  7. Live music – we have that, too! A Brighter Bloom will be playing on the Rose Garden Veranda at Stafford’s Perry Hotel from 7 to 10 pm. It’s a great spot to enjoy entertainment, food and of course festive holiday drinks!
  8. Dueling fireworks on the Fourth of July begin over Little Traverse Bay at dusk! Petoskey and Harbor Springs shoot their displays off simultaneously for all to enjoy. Pull up a blanket, grab the sparklers and enjoy the show!

  9. On Wednesday, July 5, don’t miss the free performance of the Petoskey Steel Drum Band. Their summer tunes will give you all the summer feels while you take in the gorgeous views from the Rose Garden Veranda at Stafford’s Perry Hotel from 7 to 9 pm! A limited menu will be available. Seating is first come, first serve.
  10. Kick back and take in some relaxation at one of the areas best beaches! Some of our favorites include Michigan Beach in Charlevoix, Petoskey State Park, Harbor Springs City Beach and Camp Petosega Beach (just outside of Alanson on Crooked Lake).
  11. Petoskey Rocks! begins on Friday, July 7. Gather the crew and head to downtown Petoskey! You will enjoy free carriage rides, music in the park by Michigan Rattlers, ghost walk (tickets available), in-store specials and a Movie in the Park at Dark – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

  12. Nothing quite screams summer like ice cream! Visit one of the many locations in northern Michigan including Kilwin’s, Yummies in Harbor Springs and Murdick’s.
