The sun is setting earlier and the evenings are cooling off. That can only mean one thing – FALL is coming! We love summer and although we hate to see it go, we’re ready for an incomparable northern Michigan harvest season. Enjoy all that Mother Nature offers in our neck of the woods by trying some of our favorite ways to spend time this Autumn – it’s fun for the whole family.
Friske Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 1, 8 am to 5 pm
Pumpkin pancakes, live music, wagon rides, face painting, apple cider and pumpkin spice donuts, and of course, pick-your-own apples!
Enjoy Trails With a Whole New Backdrop
As the leaves begin to change, all the trails we’ve enjoyed during the summer months take on a whole new feel. The deep colors of fall pop and wait to discovered all over again. Try the Bear River Valley Recreation Area – the sidewalk along the bear river in Petoskey. Hop on near the waterfront and enjoy the soothing sounds of the river and the laughter of children peddling bikes as you take in the beauty of fall.
