November is here and it’s a month to be thankful! Thankful for this place we call home, thankful those we call friends, thankful for those we claim as family, thankful for opportunities presented to us this year. Whether you’re looking to dine out with your favorite people or enjoy them from the comforts of your own home, we offer a little something for everyone. As we give thanks this year for all that we have, we encourage all our friends to consider a donation to the local Neighbors In Need program (details below) – which offered a complimentary Thanksgiving meal to over 120 families in need last year.

Neighbors In Need

Our popular giving program, Neighbors In Need, is spreading through the Northern Michigan communities of Harbor Springs and Charlevoix.

The program began 14 years ago, when employees at Stafford’s Pier Restaurant teamed with their guests to create the Neighbors in Need program. The staff at Stafford’s Pier and Weathervane Restaurants work closely with Salvation Army, The Manna Food Project, Harbor Springs Food Bank, Women’s Resource Center, Charlevoix Area Food Pantry and local churches. 

Last year, over 120 families enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, delivered by volunteers who prepare, package and deliver the meals, thanks to the generosity of Stafford’s Pier Restaurant, Stafford’s Weathervane Restaurant, our staff and our guests.

“It is always our hope that the spirit of generosity will spread,” said Jody Ewbank, General Manager of Stafford’s Pier Restaurant. “The need is great, the obligation we accept, and we hope to reach more families in 2018.”
