Stafford’s Perry Hotel is pleased to welcome new Executive Chef, Jarod Kirby.
Kirby joined our team in April of 2020. He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College with a degree in business administration and a graduate of Schoolcraft College of Livonia, MI with a Culinary Arts Degree.
“As a beacon of the northern Michigan hospitality industry that offers unique and eclectic dining experience, working for Stafford’s has always been a goal of mine,” Kirby said. “The care the company has for their employees and patrons speaks for volumes about their ethics and culture.”
Prior to joining our team, he has over 10 years of experience cooking professionally at local eateries including: A Matter of Taste at Tapawingo, Pour Kitchen & Bar and Seventeen, and Marais.

Kirby oversees and maintains the culinary and food & beverage programs at Stafford’s Perry Hotel. “I also wanted an opportunity to work with your Corporate Chef, DJ Flynn,” Kirby notes. “He has a reputation for perfection in our area.”
