Saturday Color Splash – George Peebles

Speaking of color… GEORGE PEEBLES! Bright. bold and fun! dsc_0479

Over the summer, we had the opportunity to chat with this fantastic Michigan artist about his technique, his style and his work. His pieces covered an entire wall of our gallery and our guests loved the chance to meet one of their favorites!

He brought his color palatte and, wow, that thing is awesome (pictured here –>).

George says, “I’m a contemporary oil landscape artist, and my passion is painting.”

His impressionistic oil paintings are a colorful, bold reflection of the Midwest landscape. Every stroke he paints is an inward expression of his emotions. Peebles majored in five areas of art which include: Painting, drawing, print making, watercolor and sculpture. His paintings have been showcased in many places and he has won numerous awards including Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts 2011 People’s Choice Award and several Purchase Awards from the Festival of the Arts.
