Stafford’s Weathervane Restaurant is pleased to announce the return of our Winter Wine Dinner series. Our first dinner is Saturday, February 22 at 6 pm. This dinner features wine of Gerard Bertrand from South France, paired with a four course menu.
1st Course: Hawaiian Shrimp Brochette | Pineapple Coulis
2018 Bertrand “Cote des Roses” Chardonnay Languedoc: Fresh and intense aromas of citrus and exotic fruits, flowers and a few notes of candy, pear and pineapple. An unoaked style that pairs well as an aperitif or with fish or shellfish.
2nd Course: Lobster Bake | Cheese Ravioli
2018 Bertrand “Cote des Roses” Rose’ Languedoc/ Roussilion: Aromas of cassis and red currant, with hints of grapefruit. Fresh and full bodied palate, pair with shellfish or subtly spiced dishes
3rd Course: Cajun Lamb Lollipops | Cherry Chutney
2017 Bertrand Pinot Noir Reserve IGP Pays d’ Oc: Velvety texture offering aromas of ripe cherry, wild raspberry and spices. Round and fruity, pairing well with grilled lamb, chicken Tagine and mature cheeses.
4th Course: Duxelle Stuffed Tenderloin | Caramelized BBQ Vidalia
2015 Bertrand Corbieres Languedoc/Roussilion: A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Black fruit aromas from exceptionally ripe grapes, subtle hints of spices and licorice. Pair with grilled meats and BBQ.
